Rookie Week is a 7-day program created for first-time campers who are interested in having an overnight summer camp experience, but not sure if they’re ready for an extended stay. It is designed to ease these campers into the overnight experience, by providing the supervision of a caring and dedicated staff, a structured schedule, and events that are fun and exciting that they look forward to.
Rookie Camp gives campers the unique opportunity to test the waters at Lake Greeley Camp and experience the many social, emotional, and physical benefits a sleepaway camp has to offer:
- Unplug from technology.
- Develop independence and resilience.
- Make new friends and build social skills.
- Explore new interests and discover hidden talents.
- Create lasting memories in a beautiful outdoor setting.
While their camp experience may be brief, rookie campers fully participate in the camp’s 60+ daily activities, special events, themed meals, and evening activities. They are housed with campers of similar age who are enrolled for Rookie Week as well as other camp sessions.
Rookie Week is being offered during the first week of our Fourth Quarter session, August 10th - 16th.
Tuition is $1,450.00 per camper.
Children between the ages of 6 and 13 who have not previously attended Lake Greeley Camp are invited to participate.
