Off-site trips often bring excitement and the opportunity for new experiences. From camp-wide trips to trips selected by the camper, there are many to choose from. Here are some examples of trips we have at Lake Greeley Camp:
Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom
Two of the best days in the camp season. The entire camp travels to Allentown, PA for an whole day of fun. With 22 water slide and over 60 attractions, there is never a shortage of fun things to do.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders
Taking campers to the ball park to watch the Triple AAA affiliate of the New York Yankees, the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, is a lot of fun. Lake Greeley Camp typically goes to four home games each summer. About 90 minutes frm camp, we leave in the afternoon and reach the stadium about an hour before the game begins. Food is provided before the game and campers are able to purchase other items from concession stands or souvenirs.
Promised Land State Park
Campers can spend a wonderful day out of camp at the beautiful Promised Land State Park site for the swimming, beach and a cookout. Campers can ask to arrange a trip with one of the senior staff members.
Other off-camp trips include:
Shohola Falls
Appalachian Trail
Wayne County Fair
Fishing Excursions
Childs State Park
Delaware River Canoe Trips
