Visiting Day 2022!

Saturday, July 16th, 2022

What is Visiting Day?

Visiting Day occurs at two times during our summer schedule where parents are invited to come up to camp and take part in camp activities are take their children off camp grounds. This is a great day for parents to see their child in the camp setting and see how they have grown in their time at camp. Parents are also encouraged to take part in activities, too, even having their children teach them what they have learned in the process.

Here are some quick points about Visiting Day that you should be aware of when coming to camp:

What time does visiting day start?

Visiting Day starts at 10:00 AM. Parents/siblings/etc. are invited to come to camp early where you will be instructed to park on our upper football field. We will have refreshments waiting for you there before you make your way down to camp. The camp does not open for visits until 10:00 AM.

Can you bring pets to camp?

Pets are not allowed on the camp ground during Visiting Day.

What can we do during Visiting Day?

On visting days, we will open certain activity sites and invite campers and parents to go to those sites and take part in them. We will also have a barbecue for lunch consisting of hamburgers, hot dogs, and veggie burgers along with other food salads. We will also have a Trapeze show performed by campers and staff! Needless to say there is a lot to do and to see while at camp.

Going off Camp?

Let's say you want to spend some more family time away from camp and get some supplies like bottled waters or granola bars. You can certainly go off camp as well and do those things. We'll have you sign out when you leave and sign back in when you arrive at camp. We'll have some golf carts going around camp for any bags or supplies you bring back with you so you don't have to walk them back to the cabin.

The IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER though is that if the legal guardian or parent for the child is not coming to camp, but a friend, sibling, other parent is, and that person wants to take the camper off campgrounds, that person will need a written permission form saying that it is okay to do so. That is very important! Please take any necessary actions beforehand to ensure campers have permission to leave camp with someone other than the legal guardian.
