Pool and Lake Activities

The Aquatics program at Lake Greeley Camp is one of our most popular programs. Our Olympic sized swimming pool and 50 acre private lake offer the best in waterfront activities. Both the lake and pool are staffed by American Red Cross certified lifeguards.

Lake

At our privately owned 50-acre natural lake there is windsurfing, sailing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, paddle boating, a water slide and boating regattas. All of these craft are available to take out onto the lake by campers in each period. Campers can receive instruction or practice paddling and sailing techiniques or just lounge in the lake and enjoy the sun.

If that wasn’t enough, there are the aqua jump, blob and rock n' slide that are included in our swimming area. Enjoy the feeling of bouncing on a floating trampoline, being launched 10 feet in the air on the blob or scaling our amphibious rock wall!

Swimming Pool

Our in-ground swimming pool is huge ("L-shaped"; 30' x 82' x 32' x 35') and is the perfect site for any one of activities such as: Pool Parties, Red Cross Swim Instruction, Recreational Swims, Water Polo, Snorkeling, "Polar Bear Swimming", Scuba Clinics, Inter-Camp Swim Meets, Water Aerobics, Fitness Swimming, special events like the LGC Water Carnival, Camp Carnival and Camp Olympics.

The pool is always under the supervision of Lifeguards during all these activities. In addition to these activities, we also offer instructional swim. Parents can let us know if they want their children to have instructional swim with our Electives Form which can be found on our Forms Page. Instructional swimming lessons is also available to campers any day during the summer.

Additional Optional Programs

Water Skiing, Wakeboarding and Water Tubing
We provide all the necessary equipment and the experienced coaching to ensure each participant learns at their own pace in a safe, yet fun environment. For those adventurous campers, we also offer wakeboarding and even tubing. Small group sizes (six campers or less) allow for personalized instruction and maximum ski time.

However, space is limited and reservations are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Water skiing and wakeboarding are open to campers who are entering the 6th grade and older, have passed the deep water test and can demonstrate swimming skills equivalent to Level 3 in the ARC program. Tubing is open to all campers who have passed the deep water test.

Just in case this wasn’t enough for you, Lake Greeley Camp offers additional aquatic program activities. Rafting trips are scheduled throughout the summer on the Delaware River and canoe trips can be arranged for groups interested on the camp's lake.
